I'm assuming those in this thread who actually have made a deposit read the Terms and Conditions? They state quite clearly "This Agreement does not constitute an agreement for the sale of a vehicle and does not lock in pricing, a production slot, or an estimated delivery date."

Nothing is guaranteed at this point. Not Price, not Delivery Date. If the final price ends up being $7,500 in June 2016, that's the price and that's when they'll start being available. You can protest, but you agreed to those terms when you bought your place in line.

Yes. So EM should hurry up and change their advertised price to $6,800.00 SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE! That is before a lot of potential buyers NOTICE it!!! 'Just sayin! ;)

FYI. that internet form everyone sent in will not hold up in court. No one witnessed who sent it in and you have no signed contract.
BUT the site does say $6800.00 and Paul has been on TV dozens of times saying it. A GOOD LAWYER (if there is one) would win that case.

How far back does $ 6800. Go?

I know that is what was what it was Jan. 2014.
$ 6800. + (estimate 3% inflation) = $ 7004. as of Dec. 2014 ?
Jan. 2015. $ 7004. + (estimate 3% inflation) = $ 7214.12. As of Dec 2015. ?

If that was to be true, then EM has met their goal.

This is all a guess.
When I went "all in" in Jan. 2014 I planned on ~~ $ 10,000. With the options I want.

I agree, Bob. Think you are "spot on."

Why is everyone getting their panties in a knot, over something that is speculative??? :eek:

Those of us that are ALL-IN, let's wait and see where it all falls out to be. :rolleyes:

And for those that are standing out there with their noses pressed against the glass. . . . . . Keep your wallets in your pocket, or under your mattress. . . . . Or where ever you keep it, and CHILL! o_O

Wow. Such passion overall. $6800 is clearly the base price, since Paul et al. would otherwise have had to caveat this 10,000 ways. Why 10,000? Well, 50 states all with different tax, title, and registration multiplied by each potential option package. Do use your heads folks. Paul and Elio have bent over backwards to be honest and forthcoming compared to any other major corporation I know. I would bet considerable money that the base price excluding options is, um, exactly $6800.00 when it leaves the line to pick up my options.

There are those of us out there that are counting on the $6800.00 price as one of the reasons we are buying the Elio. That price is one of the things that attracted you too! I think that because of tall the publicity regarding the MPG's plus the Price, if Elio is not able to deliver a basic Elio with the amenities that they promised (AC, power locks and windows), which is very basic, then there will be alot of negative press and bad feelings about the company. If they had brought a new car to market with a lower than normal price tag with higher than normal MPG's but without making such grand claims, things would have been different. But the media campaign puts an enormous amount of pressure on Elio to deliver on his claims!

I was attracted to the super cool factor, when i first saw it- figured 20-25k, and just another dream machine. When I saw the price- jumped right on it, reminded me of a car that had the exposed suspension (Plymouth Prowler?) I'm not into speed (as long as it can accelerate with traffic and dp 70mph, and then to see 84 mpg goal, that was the icing on the cake!! I'm an old bike rider (50+ years) and this will be my a/c ,enclosed 3 wheeler.
I can tell you that for the last few bikes, never went out the door for under 10k - and never bought stock- I know and understand that for many this is a need, for many others it's a want. Could I live out the rest of my golden years without Elio- sure, but being here when it first started is way too cool for me- when my grand kids grow up they're gonna see this image of old 7013 leaning against that classic, and wondering how it was possible to buy it for less than 10k when the current list price, do to inflation is 30k!! enjoy the ride!!!
