I don't know if I would consider it locked, but it shows that even their target number isn't expected to include shipping.
This isn't unexpected, I just hadn't actually seen a separate destination charge confirmed anywhere - not that this is technically a confirmation.

Welcome from New Mexico. Picking it up at the factory will be part of the unique Elio experience. An experience I do not plan to miss. It will be my first trip to Louisiana and I plan to make it enjoyable. We look forward to more of your posts on the forum. Make the most of this historic experience.

See if you can pack some of these. They are imported from Greece. Also available in red.

I've seen quite a few Elio ads...swear I saw an old ad marketing the Elio at $5995 originally & it seems they're price point is still going above $7000 (atm)!

Seems to me, with all the chatter amongst us, maybe Elio "staff" could throw us a bone or two? Maybe give us an idea of what they're thinking!?!

Their website claims that all future decisions will be made in the best interest of future Elio owners! Only, how do they know what's in our best interest, without asking for feedback from "real" future Elio owners!?!

I really hope Paul sticks to his guns, with regards to the factory tour, plant pick up (no delivery fee or PDI) & making the entire process streamlined & fun! Hoping for a coupla months notice as well, 24 hour turn around would immediately throw my life into complete chaos...I have to make it to LA from MI in 24 hours or go to the back of the line? Hopefully that 24 hour turn around is in the 2nd production year!

I truly am expecting this to be a wonderful experience. At 40, I have never bought a brand new car...could never justify the expense, when I wait 1 year and get one with 20,000 miles on it for $10-15k off the sticker, but with the price of the Elio being so ridiculously reasonable, I had to do it!

So much speculation about what is happening & what is yet to come. Personally, I can't wait to see the P5 & get to drive mine home, from the plant, in 2015!

Saw it again June of this year, investigated a little bit and was like "okay you got me" 6-5-14 all in 1K, 8/21/14 all in 1K again

They are not above 7000, still "shooting for 6800" and they WILL MAKE IT! Maybe I'm wrong and someone like #491 will correct me, but I personally have NEVER seen anything but 6800 on the price.

There actually was a lower price but I think that was in 2012. The higher price they are talking about is the one Paul mentioned when he said if they were to sell it right now it would have to be $7300, but they are still working on getting it down to the $6800 goal. Z

I've seen a lot of TV with the Elio, Paul and others and all I've ever seen is $6800.00.
These other prices must be like the White House....behind closed doors.​
