If you would have got the 1K, 500 or 100 back years ago, by now, it (for most people) probably be long gone on something you would not even remember buying.

I estimate a .01% chance for it to happen yet.

That’s what they’re counting on. The question remains if it was what they planned.

Perhaps you’d like to loan me up to $1000 ‘for a few years’ (or forever), thanks in advance!!

I met Paul at a trade show a couple years into this thing, and put a deposit down the next day.
I had always ridden motorcycles and it reminded me of a three wheeled bike I had seen once.
Being cheap though, I only put down $100 dollars, but I did buy into the crowd funding deal.
Like most on here, I guess I really wanted it all to work, and dreamed of driving my Elio someday! But, after a few years I lost faith, and quickly sold my remaining stock. I had already
sold half the stock the minute I got it, and even after bumping up my reservation to a whopping
$500, I had made money on the whole deal. (I'm not trying to brag)
I have not been on this site for several years, but it seems that some here have followed all that is transpiring. I keep waiting for a letter from some law firm, with a form to fill out for a class-action suit. Now, today I check back in, and see a post taking about people who bought the "refundable" reservations! ( I'm assuming that is what was meant by FUV, I'm not sure.)
Certainly there would be some kind of law suit for these people!
Is no one going to take a stand for 50,000 or so people who lost their money?
I’ve signed the petition for the class action lawsuit - over 1875 people have signed says it is 95% completed. Just need a few more people to sign. I will continue to watch. I want my money back. Been waiting OVER 10 yrs!!

It's been stuck at 95% for a few years. I don't think it'll get to 100%. Even the class action seems to be a bust.

I was watching that petition for a while. It was like watching sour nuts go rancid. Even today, you didn't bother to post a link. Tiny knives stabbing the elio project in the back. Well, the Elio project is not dead and the angry little petition apparently is. Anger fades but dream don't. Go Elio!

Elio Project is dead. No plant, no tooling, no website, huge amount of debt and soon will be delisted. It's done. In general, would you ever trust Paul again? Maybe a few would but the rest would not. He pretty much evaporated when things were not going well. So, those die hard fans that like to see him, he obviously doesn't want to see you are anyone. Then the threw the reservation holders under the bus when he announced the Elio-E. It's was yet another hail Mary attempt to boost the stock price a bit. Not for actually making the product.

For me, his ethics are terrible. He literally owes people an apology but I doubt he will ever do that. Instead, he will sell refurbished, previously wrecked used cars in Phoenix. As we all know, used car salesmen are known to be trustworthy. Again, anyone can go there and talk to him.
