Another Elio Blog With Nothing New...

Ok, the reports of an Elio in my driveway have turned out to be an elaborate hoax, perpetrated by, what I can only assume, a well organized and highly trained and financed group, probably anarchists, I have a surveillance photo of what is believed to be one of the culprits:

Patience.... the emancipation proclamation was 10/22/1862, effective 1/1/1863, rumored in Texas in May of 1865, and read officially in Galveston on June 19, 1865 by General Gorden Granger. Thus we have the long awaited Juneteenth. But it did arrive. I am still waiting for my Elio.

I've been more than patient... It is very discouraging when you read all of the news articles that say the Elio and similar vehicles could be dead in the water if they don't allow them to be classified as a motorcycle and get around the auto safety requirements....

Then I see them talking about TV ads, when the car isn't even being produced yet.... I'm taking bets that it won't be built this year.... Any takers?

Don't be discouraged. Just find better quality journalism to read. Problem solved.

If you look closely at those stories you will see a lot of them are coming from "green" leaning rags. People who are afraid of efficient ICE powered cars. People who insist that only BPVs (Battery Powered Vehicles) should be produced and that those should be heavily subsidized even if they don't have enough range to be useful outside of the smog contaminated hives they live in.

As far as commercials, they generate demand for product.
Most people have to know about things before they want them.
If you don't want "Big Brother" to control your life you need to ignore them when they tell you that 2 + 2 = 5.

If you don't think it will be built, please stop trying to poison the well that others drink from with your negative attitude.

I don't lose sleep worrying about the govt shutting this down. It just doesn't register on my list of highly probable events.

The latest Blog has nothing to do with progress because there is apparently no progress to report.

The government would have nothing to do with Elio shutting down. Matter of fact EM has invited the government along for the ride on the road to production. The government is Elio's friend.

A lot has changed since they conspired to put Mr. Tucker out of business.
There is the possibility that many in government won't go out of their way to help EM...
But, I agree, those individuals and organizations certainly don't want the blame for it's failure either.
