Where do you live that you have to worry about having your fenders stolen?
I don't want to go near there

No, worried about someone stealing the cool looking pins. Believe me, it'll happen nearly everywhere. People steal Mercedes emblems. Anything that comes off with little effort won't last long.

Not for me. Those body accessories make it look like something Darth Vader designed. Why they would abandon a beautiful rear design in favor of a squared off, angular and downright ugly design is beyond me. The fact is good looks sell cars and when someone sees an Elio for the first time they will get their first impression based on it's look. A small, three wheeled, front to back seating car needs all the help it can get. Am I alone in this or do any of you agree with me? Let's do a poll, which do you prefer the P3 or P4 rear design? The silver one is the P3 and the orange one is the P4.

OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not the "Elgin dash" again AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH :eek::eek::eek: :p

Doesn't that also get back into the gas cap thing? P3 was on the left.
PS, I like the P4.
The only thing they should do to the Elgin is add a real temperature gauge on the left.
(makes the tach and spedo symmetrical.)

I think the rear was inspired by something ........Can't put my finger on it

Very good! With all due respect, I don't care if it was inspired by a woodchuck's hind end, it still looks better than the P4. I don't know about others but I would give up one or two miles to the gallon to have a car I enjoy looking at. Elio wants to offer options, ok, then offer the car with a choice of P3 or P4 fenders and rear end. Sounds like a good way for them to make some extra money to me.

in time such options may be offered but I wouldn't expect to see it in the early generation .... I agree that I'd love to see more options .... the problem comes in with the cost .... given that adding options would bring in more money, I doubt that they would consider anything related to the basic body shape .... we have many (if not most ) members who know far more about the mechanics involved .... changing front fenders would seem to be one level and redoing the whole rear end would be another
