And something else to think about with the Elio, is when you center the front wheels over a pothole to avoid hitting it, you are now going to hit it with the rear wheel. Probably will take some getting used to.
Amen brother :)

Navigating potholes is tricky enough now, wait until there's only 3 wheels.....it will take a REAL wheel man to miss them :p

Wiz, for what it's worth.

I believe some are putting too much thought into the dangers of 'Pot Holes'. Now days there are not as many as there were 10/20/30 years ago.

Over time I've driven/ridden from Key West to Maryland, Canada, the Dakotas, the 'Big Ditch', down to Las Cruses, across Texas and back home to Ga. and have not found pot holes to be a problem. If you just don't follow too close you will have time to avoid the problem.

A pot hole may have saved my life, one time. I was the last bike off St. George Island, Fla. late one night, (early AM), had a sick rider, (food poisoning), left him in a clinic. We put his bike in a trailer, headed back to Mexico Beach to a rental house. As we came into Mexico beach, I truly believe I went to sleep while riding the Harley, I hit a pot hole and woke up, not remembering the last 10 or so miles.

Rather than 'Pot Holes', we should put more thought into Head Lights for night time driving/riding. In the day time we can see very well but at night we have a very limited view of the road ahead. The 'tunnel' of light does not give us a good view of anything coming from the side of the road, deer/dog/wild hog. Heaven forbid hitting a HOG, would be like hitting a stack of concrete block in the road.

I hit a deer, one night a long time ago, coming back home, while driving a Datson 260Z, near tore the front end Off, was able to drive it on home, running HOT when I got there. had to replace the hood, radiator, both headlight shrouds, bumper, etc.

I have no fear of pot holes, deer/hogs/etc can and will mess you and your Elio UP.

Think, Head Lights!!!!!!!

I've been wondering when motorcycle helmets will have LED's built in...like a "third eye". I have a head-mounted light that is rated at just under 200 lumens! It's like daylight for 100 yards! Putting something like it ON a helmet would be a big bonus.

I have seen this. Several years ago I saw a wireless "Third Eye' for the helmet, it was a break lite attached to the rear of a helmet, the sender was wired to the bike, weather proof and wireless. Did not pick up on it at the time but it could be what your looking for.

That's cool...a brake lite. Add a headlite on the front...

I wonder, too. IIRC there are "spotlighting" laws that could be an issue.
Yes, there would be an issue if you were cruising along a back road at 0 to 10 mph, with gun in hand. I don't think the DNR would consider it 'Deer Shinning', ("Spotlighting"), when you're cruising along at 50 to 70 mph on a main road. If they did you would beat the charge in court plus, I'm sure you would get a chuckle out of the judge.

Has any body seen what tire size is on the front and rear tire size is??
They said Cooper tires but never the size??
Does any one know ??
I guess the rims will be steel and not aluminum
Ok I also saw a post about the P5 not going on tour?
I'm curious to know too, I am looking into tire like these new drive guards form Bridgestone..
I"ve had so many problems with my piece of jeep(sounds like SH**) , that I want an indestructible car next time.
run flat tires are an option I want.
