I wonder what the wheel bolt pattern will be on the Elio. I don't guess anybody climbed under the wheel skirt and measured. It might be the geo metro pattern. I heard it was 4 bolt but it sure would be nice if it was a modern 5x114.3. That would make it nice as far as selection.

Looking at the prototype would not help in this case as the P4 has four lug 14" inch wheels but EM has informed us they will be using five lug 15's.

Thats what I thought I read somewhere. Just wish I knew. I would already be buying stuff for it. It helps calm my ADD down a little

The photos of the P4 show the plainest wheels imaginable. Oh well with the fender skirts they almost don't show at all.

I also really like the P3 fenders, but the thought of only being able to say I get 75 mpg. is just too hard to swallow. I need to say 84.

I'll try a couple style experiments on the 3d thread for that.

Idle speculation:

Cooper will be designing a low rolling resistance tyre for EM, to help achieve the target MPG. I am wondering how good the dry pavement "bite" will be considering the footprint will be fairly small (narrow tyre-narrow width, 15" wheel, shorter length relative to the 17" and 18" that have become increasingly common). This could push tyre design in a new direction - hoping for good things!

And yes, I realize that the Elio is light and that reduces tyre loads.
