Maybe spraying the inside of the fenders with something like Neverwet (http://www.neverwet.com/index.php) would help to prevent ice/snow build-up in the wells. Haven't tried the stuff myself, but the videos look promising.

According to their web site it is only sold at Home Depot and as soon as I get my ELIO I will be coating the inside of the front fenders to help with possible snow build-up.

It is commonly available at a lot of places--WalMart, Lowes, KMart, AutoZone, etc. Funny that your lookup shows Home Depot and my lookup didn't show HD. :)

Pretty much sold everywhere here as well. I'm absolutely going to try in on the inner fender wells (all three of them) after watching more of their videos.

...And to stay on the "fender" topic, and because I've never owned a vehicle that I didn't jack with, I'm going to pop off the removable panels (hood [bonnet for wheaters], trunk, and fenders), make some molds, and make a set out of carbon fiber parts (RTM method - Thank you McDonnell Douglas/Boeing composite training schools) to see how much more weight I can shave of this little lightweight. Easier than going on a diet!!

My latest think tank idea is a hard case saddlebag option that quick attaches to the rear wheel fairing for some added storage space for long trips.......or even in town errands for that matter. Similar to these MC Hard Case Bags, but with styling similar to the Elio front fenders. The Elio may even appear to be a four wheeler! LOL

I could see that happening. Maybe the leather ones off my EVO fatboy with the quick release.
