The $23 million loan to Racer Trust in my opinion killed any chance of an ATVM loan. Defaulting the first payment triggering an 18 percent interest charge was either a back door way to give Stu Lichter an outrageous rate of return or total fiscal ineptness.

Of course. If they had no intention of paying the loan why did they go through this charade

Also, if you put people to work building the 100 do you just send them home when the 100 are built? Do you tell them not to get another job and that you will call them back? Do you give them strict instructions to not forget anything that they learned while working on the line? I would expect that once building starts it would not stop unless there was no more demand

Some time ago, Ty, who has a background in auto mfg, said it wouldn't take very many workers to build 100 cars. In his opinion they would be built by the engineers, supervisors and such. Basically by management. Then that small group of management would train the workforce for the real thing.

Those 100 never made much sense to me. If they used the plant to make those 100 wouldn't they then have to start paying rent?

As I understand it they're already accumulating debt on the upkeep and costs of the building.
