Yes and you have traditionally seen that same type of fanaticism in Apple products but as Apple is finding out, even the most die hard eventually start to wake up.

It occurs to me that Tesla hype by Tesla owners may precede a rash of used Teslas for sale. No one likes to admit to a bad investment. However many Tesla buyers can afford a bad investment. Will they park the car in the garage or dump it on the market?

Some of us have long saw $6,800 as low and some what unrealistic . My question is mainly to those $1000 all in. Not because anyone is any better. But because they are the ones that have stepped up first. The ones willing to lay down cash for the ELIO. The ones that would be first to see such an offer . I am sure others will have things to say also.
If ELIO said that at a price they could have your ELIO sitting at the plant ready for you to arrange shipping or pick up by the end of 2016 with out fail. In the color you want ready to go. Auto or manual. Also you have information that is 100% accurate. The Elio has manage 75MPG in most test and 80 MPG in some. It runs and handles better than anyone expected. Car and drive have already rate it outstanding .
What would that price be for you? Write a check ,transfer the funds do it now. I have though about this for some time. Looking at the dumb smart car And some other small cars . Looking at the cost of many motorcycles. I do not see $12,000 as unreasonable if all of the above was met without fail.
This is just for the sake of discussion. Unlikely anything like it would happen. look into your wallet . How much would an ELIO be worth to you.

$6,800 - all or nothing. PE made this HIS price-point mark. Simple: do what you say you are going to do, or take a seat on the bench!

If it's 12k, it better be loaded as hell. No way I'm paying 12k for a stripped down two-seater. Also, it better come *before* end of December, or I'm going to be having a brand-new car sit in the garage for two months before I can even drive it.

I would not pay 12k. I also wouldn't consider 10k unless it was loaded with options and had a turbo. I expect to pay about 8k for mine with the options I want.
