Same way it deals with bumps when it's not on a dolly.

as noted in the opening post, I'd love to be able to get down there by plane or train and drive ours back home by way of the Dragon .... with no clue how our Elio will ride, I just don't know that my back can stand such a trip .... if as has long been reported, it is designed to flay tow (behind a motor home) , the cheapest way might be to flat tow it back behind our Silverado

Insert "not sure if serious" meme...

Well if it does and starts at zero then it will be 999,xxx miles by the time you get it home. That would make registration interesting...

RU --- I'M sure the speedometer and consequently the odometer are electronic. The old cable driven speedo odometers would count backward if driven or towed backward. Electronic won't count anything unless the key is on.

My plan is to haul mine back on a trailer. Being allergic to many things, Iwant to air it out so I will not break out in hives, and be ble to breathe. Do not see your production number, do not know if I could bring yours back at least toEast Tennessee for you. Should easily fit one forward and one backwards on the 18 ft lowboy trailer I have. I bought a brand new vehicle once. It sat for about 2 monthsbefore I could drive it.
I don't think I can get two in my 30' enclosed car hauler trailer (24' flat floor, 6' "grandma's attic) so if you can put two on an 18' trailer, you win the Tetris trophy!

My 1965 Mustang wouldn't even spin backwards. Well, the car would certainly spin backwards but the odometer would not.
