Hitch would be very useful and not just for trailer. Bike rack, small rack for wheel chair or electric scooter, extra luggage rack, you get the idea. Even thinking little trailer house for the 3 amigos. They pretty much go where ever we do and are well seasoned travelers.

Or a nice chrome bumper...

This trailer might be a better and less expensive option for the Elio. A single wheel is less drag. Will Elio have a place to mount a hitch?

interesting indeed .... for the last few years we have been traveling on I-29 leaving South Dakota on our way to KC on the weekend that Sturgis is breaking up .... to say that we see hundreds of bikes would be a major understatement .... I don't recall ever seeing one of the trailers in your link

Sturgis bikers would be too cool for trailers. Their more hardcore.

not really .... we see bikes towed on all types of trailers by all types of vehicles .... we see bikes piled high with all sorts of bags .... we do see bikes towing trailers, some are really decked out to match the bikes .... some of the home made trailers they tow seem to really be sturdy

Having been to Sturgis many times the Only reason this is true is because most of the Harleys are Trailered in like a prom queen. Not what I would call "hard core"?

I lived in SD for 63 years. A SD newspaper claimed that 466,000 bikers made the trek from around the globe to Surgis this year. I have seen many very hardcore bikers.............some not.........depends upon your Rally campsite location.

Branson, MO. Plenty of lodging, lots to see (Broadway type shows and the like), beautiful drive around the lakes.

No official towing support, in the first year at least, is not really a surprise on this thread as we heard this direct from Paul Elio at the recent Town Hall meeting where he also stated that he expected the aftermarket to offer unofficial solutions.


I am not sure we will ever see official tow support from Elio Motors because of lawyers. Hitches are available for most motorcycles and small cars even though virtually none of these officially allow towing.
