"Technically" both front wheels are drive wheels, but with the nature of the open-diff, it only powers one wheel where there is the least resistance. If you drive perfectly straight on a surface that's uniform, then yes there is power to two wheels. It's difficult for me to explain, but not too hard to understand. There are a lot of cool youtube videos that explain this.

Could torque steer come into play when the turbo package is/might be offered on the g2/
Yes it could. It used to be a major problem even on underpowered critters like the 1980 Honda Civic. Mostly these days it's not a problem, but if you crank in enough power to one driven wheel, something's gonna grab. A limited-slip differential solves this problem. What's Elio doing to reduce / eliminate forque steer?

Don't see the AC compressor. Not installed yet, or are they leaving it out of the P5?

Usually, it won't be until they're ready to install the rest of the A/C system all at once(condenser, evaporator, drier, orifice tube or expansion valve, and hoses). It avoids contamination.

Now I see they already have a serpentine belt installed. These pictures are horrible angles which don't give us a view of the front bottom side of the engine (where the a/c compressor is tucked under, see pic below). For all we know, it could be on there.
