You guys are missing the connections:And all this ethanol talk has exactly what to do with the AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ???
You guys are missing the connections:
E85 is gasoline with 85% ethanol by volume, 15% RBOB.
Ethanol in gasoline is mostly made from corn.
Most corn ethanol is made in the Midwest, particularly Iowa.
Iowa has sister cities in Japan.
Japan is home to both of Aisin AI's manual transmission manufacturing plants, located in Nishio City and Kira.
And the Elio will have either the manual MC5 or automated manual BC5 transmissions, both made in Japan.
See? Ethanol is connected to Elio!

Good article.
I thought so to though I didn't fact check it. I just intended to find the mandate for Ethanol. It's been posited that it actually takes more diesel fuel in growing, harvesting, and shipping Ethanol than it actually saves. I don't know about that either but I DO know that Ethanol likes water and it can wreak all kinds of havoc in gas tanks and engines when left unattended for too long.Good article.
This line kind of surprised me: Thanks to the rapid expansion of the domestic oil and gas industry, this country has passed Russia and Saudi Arabia as the world’s top energy producer.
