If my calculations are correct, it would make sense to take out a loan for $500 for a year at 12% interest. For that $60 you would gain $250 as a bonus.

But if you have the discipline to put the money aside you get that 12 percent plus Elio bonus. You stand in violation of the rule that says never pay someone else to manage your money for you. True discipline is a gift from God for getting your priorities straight.

Although I don't agree with your position, I can easily see why you and many others are "concerned". Forums are a great way of sharing your thoughts and ideas, and perhaps helping relieve the emotion you are feeling and sharing
Life is filled with many variables, some of which we have no control of. If you live by _what" ifs" instead of "what can" possible, it might open new ways of looking at the world. Been around long enough (72) to see computers evolve from folks who laughed as they sat sorting punch cards. Dick Tracy using a wrist phone, internet, push-button phones, etc. etc. If Elio were to fail, we were pioneers in safe small efficient, fun transportation. I always viewed my 1k all in as my contribution to the future. At whatever financial commitment we ALL know that it might be a total financial loss.

looked at my account....I see the payments that I made but no record of the bonuses??? I can not see having to keep track of them by oneself!

Don't get worried about this..... You will get a 50% bonus in credit towards the purchase price of the Elio, when it comes time to make your upgrades and color selection, etc. If you put 1000.00 down, you'll get 500.00 off your final purchase price.

Elio can't give you a cash bonus, if that is what you're thinking....

Maybe the $1000.00, $250.00, and $100.00 new reservations haved dropped to the point that they are basically nonexistant? I'm still trying to figure out how they can offer a number at $500.00, but I signed up at that level Friday, so time will tell. I will post any progress I make towards getting a number at only $500.00 all in.

Actually, the upgrade system has been limited at least since April. I went all in at $100 on March 1 and hoped to upgrade to $250 as soon as I had the money saved. The options available from $100 were only $500 and $1,000. I suspect this was true from the beginning but we didn't get that information at the time we first went all in. Rather than worrying about getting your bonus credit for the Elio, it is much more important to spread the word about the car and get more people on board.

The more people we can get on board with us, the sooner and more likely we'll be getting them !

The bonus isn't going to matter or make any difference UNTIL it is being built. Help us get there, spread the word !
