EGAD...no carpeting? I personally would be OK with replaceable factory rubber floor mats and optional carpeting, not a spray on coating, but when did that change occur? What next....no paint, no rear seat, no radio, no wheels, no fenders...no dash gauges? Have they no shame!

Will it be that any item easily bolted on at the marshaling center is destined to become optional at additional cost? If so we should lobby for a credit back off the $6,800.

I started that conversation And the latest update to the Configurator shows "No Carpet" as the standard.

Odor is something I didn't consider. The stuff I used on my Jeep was a 3-part brush/roll on stuff, and was open air driving. Makes me wonder what spray-on liner smells like on a nice humid day in August with the A/C blasting.

The Dynamat looks like a good idea. Easily removable, cut to fit. If it had a non-slip surface...nice. Sound deadening. I've pondered how the rear wheel is in a megaphone-shaped rear end of the Elio.

Noises can telegraph their way in to the cabin of the Elio from anywhere. Wind noise as well. If the Elio is noisy I will add some sound deadening like Dynamat. I do want nice carpet if possible.

Didn't you see the Configurator? It has all of those prices, a picture and pictures of the items in the stereo along with description, of the Elio and what they would look like in or on it, you can 360 degree rotate and zoom in or out; plus it will give you a list at the end of what you have chosen for yours, along with the totals.
