Mmmm . . . Smells petrolicious!
Now about that "instrument panel delete" option . . .
What, too soon?
Right next to the "left side filler cap" option.

The configurator, in the interior area, shows "no carpet" as standard and any carpet a $78 option.I was only half joking when I suggested truck bed liner as an alternative, but the more I think about it, the more I think I might just have it sprayed. Mine will be getting 5+ years of daily driving. Maybe I'll order the carpet upgrade and remove it when I get her home, then reinstall it once I retire and have time to play with it.
Anyway...
I think it was Ty that made the point awhile back about road noise in the Elio and it made perfect sense. Since the front wheels are outriggers the only real road noise in the cabin would be coming from the rear. So "theoretically" the cabin noise shouldn't be all that bad. The Rhino-liner I saw on a friend's truck looked to be better than 1/8" thick. So if there is road noise after you spray thing interior, have them shoot the under carriage, that ought to quiet her down.
This is all assuming there is no carpet with the standard models. Still not sure who started the conversation on that.
For $78.00, I'll opt for some carpet.Sho-nuff does say "no carpet".
Truck bed coating it is then!
Odor is something I didn't consider. The stuff I used on my Jeep was a 3-part brush/roll on stuff, and was open air driving. Makes me wonder what spray-on liner smells like on a nice humid day in August with the A/C blasting.
So, she can drive but she can't read that big honking dial on the air pump hose? There is now a new* video on the TPMS selection. It doesn't work on my Fire though. It seems to show someone inflating their tires.
EDIT: But, it works here.

I started that conversation And the latest update to the Configurator shows "No Carpet" as the standard.
Rubberized spray coat on Amazon. Two cans at 12.53 = 25.06 plus shipping or---$78 for carpet and you don't have to work on your hands and knees and mask off the mess. Hmmm or no carpet for $0Saw that. Now I have to decide if I want carpet, or if I want to go with the idea of nothing, vinyl flooring, or rhino type spray...

Just tried the configurator. The only items with stars were the standard paint colors. I wonder if the cookies placed on your computer by the Configurator dictate the version you see? Any ideas on that? When did the options of the configurator get yellow "Stars" on them?
Never noticed them.
If you click on them, you can rate some of them with 1-5 stars.
and if you look at it from above there is a reflection of a building.
