One benefit of being old school is the ability to express an opinion without the benefit of political correctness, legalese, implications, or even all of he facts. I am just expressing my uninformed convictions.

Edited to remove political statements

My wife is killing me with ideas, I wish she would just reserve one. She thinks a great option for long trips is a lift up seat cushion in the rear seat with a toilet. Then she wouldn't have to use a public rest stop facility toilet.
Just reply, "You've got to be shhh...kidding me." :p Don't forget to open a window too. :p

I'd like to know how she plans to remove the seat cushion, stow it somewhere, drop trou, and then put it all back together; all while moving down the road in the back of the Elio; it's not like the room in the back of a mini van.

She a contortionist or something?

It's called a bedpan and they are available in many designs. You discover these things when you get OLD.

And yet another potential use for a left-side bulge...to house a 2-flush waste tank for the rear seat toilet. Is there no limit to the Elio's flexibility?

Or you could simply design it so it slides out onto the road. That way, you don't have to deal with a housing tank

And I apologize to all... It wasn't my intention to give any one images that cannot be removed from the human mind haha
