Have to plan ahead and have others bring a cooler & ice or put a cooler on wheels and hook it up to the Elio even thought it would make me lose20-25MPG...LOL

Kind of brings us back to the trailer thoughts. If so, one could fashion a trailer that folded out to have seats, contained a cooler and on the back end a grill. It should not wind up weighing much and perhaps could even be made to look Elio-like. It would soooo be a specialty trailer... but it would be pretty cool!

I've come up with a light for the Elio fenders.
These can be either marker lights, or turn signals but it's perfect

Now we need one of the Photoshop pros to put Paul's face on it :becky:

Oh....I like that Coss :)
Isn't that a cool light? It's from the new two baggers from Indian, the Chieftain and the Black Night Shadow (1st one is right, 2nd was guessing because I don't exactly remember the name of it) $21K for the Chieftain, $22K for the Black one.
It's an improvement on the original lights Indian had.

I'll add just a small pair of LED lights on each front fender, one fore and one aft, with minimal height so as not to mess with the laminar airflow. A small strip across the trunk, and voila! I'd like to see what the Configurator has to offer by the time we get round to ordering our Elio options.

I threw this in somewhere else, but thought I'd pop it in here as well. Eric with the P5 said they were looking into a combination fastener/12 vdc outlet strip running between the outside edge of each headlight and the suspension opening in the body on each side so that folks could do things like this. (Evidently, this was a suggestion from Paul.) I'm very interested in exactly how this would be done.

Don't mean to toss sand in the works, but I must remind, the fenders are unsprung, meaning they will feel all the road vibration. Filliment bulbs of all types are out, so at min you use LED bulbs in this fixture. Also all bolts need careful attention, possibly Lock-Tight or Nylocks.
If the housing has any weight it will move against the contact area. (there are viable ways to handle that) Anyway, I'd prefer to be the second iteration of this, having seen a successful first 3 months of the first.
Led strips are lower weight and have no rubbing contacts or wires internally. The external wiring must still be carefully secured.
