Pergaps there is no real benefit to three wheels based on safety alone.

Personally, I'm not all that worried about safety. I commuted back and forth to work on my motorcycle for years. I still use it for short errands and going doctor's appointments.

For me, the benefit of a 3 wheeler is the classification of "motorcycle" so I can avoid emissions testing and receive lower insurance rates over a 4-wheel car.

I am hopeful that the BEX Mongrel's gas mileage (and initial cost) will make my "bucket list" adventures more affordable, as well. I also like the fact that the Mongrel appears to be DIY friendly and not require a bunch of specialized tools for repairs and maintenance.
