Seriously? You Have To Provide Your Own Water Bottle For The Windshield Washer?

The replaceable container is a good idea. Most washer fluid is sold in that same 1 gallon container. Being replaced when empty makes a cleaner engine bay. No permanent old stained plastic washer container.

Being a common container is an upside to me, I've been trying to find a clean unstained washer container for my vintage BMW for several years now and anyone who has one wants WAY too much for it($100+) b/c it's rare since they are NLA.

Windshield Wiper Bottle

A traditional vehicle has a thick plastic windshield wiper bottle, designed to last for at least 10 years and work well at -40 F to 140 F. In addition, when you buy windshield wiper fluid, you have to pour it in (usually spilling some on your shoes), and then a little bit remains that you don’t want to throw away and you don’t want to store. The actual cost of the well-designed windshield wiper bottle in today’s vehicle costs about $8.00. The Elio system is another simple but highly effective example; there is a depression in the engine compartment to put a 1-gallon jug of wiper fluid securely in place. The cap has the hose from the wiper fluid pump in the middle so all that is needed is to open the jug and screw on the cap. The cost of the bottle is free — it is included when you buy windshield wiper fluid.

the thing is supposed to get 84 mpg and cost under 7 grand and somehow screwing a cap onto a store bottle instead of pouring the bottle into a reservoir is supposed to be a problem??? I actually think its a cool idea, (and one more thing to customize!).

One more thing. Some of us think they are a comedians making stupid remarks in my opinion. Lets get serious about this new idea in frugal transportation. Paul and build team are trying to keep cost down and create a great and fun vehicle for all of us to drive. Let's stand behind Paul and the build team and not make fun of this.

Available at Walmart for just over $2 and comes with washer fluid in it.
