None of you guys must go to the road-race track much. 3M paint protection film is de rigueur for the pricey sports cars that show up for track days. (Coss, 3M says they invented it... )

Your local tint shop is already applying it, just stop by when you pick your Elio up and get it applied to the hood, nose, and sides. Problem solved.

Again another "Catch 22". Warranty does not cover dents caused by "Physical contact of rocks or road debris".
I do like the product though.
Truck bed liner is another excellent idea, like RINOLINER..

There is an clear 10mm film called "Rock Guard" a friend of mine developed it in the 80's to protect the nose of his Porsche, the stuff really does work

If the composite body panels had the color molded throughout the material, then there would be no problem with rock chips.

After taking a look at the way the front wheels are covered, would anything kicked up get past? It looks to me like it already has protection against that.

True, but some people are interested in the retro fenders. This will be a larger problem for them.

I'm going with retro fenders. I will need some additional protection. I'm sure someone on here has more expertise than me. I'll wait for the recommendations.
