Got the numbers from Marco, at this rate I'm betting the reservations will be gone before Christmas.

I would think you will see a drop off in the pace of reservations after tomorrow when the 50% "gift" goes away

Question, I know other cars have been reserved or ordered before delivery in the past . They were special high end sports cars. I know of a few motorcycles this has been done with from time to time.
Clearly ELIO has had to have set a record for the most cars reserved/ordered before one was even built in history.
Now that should make the evening news a few times.

As you know, while I was visiting with my son, we reached 31,606 reservations for 3 days which gives us 446/day. Have fun with the numbers. :-) Z

any idea what accounted to the two earlier spikes??

The big January spike was after a lot of media exposure from the P3 being shown at the Consumer Electronics (CES) show early in the month followed by the P4 being unveiled about mid month.

The smaller spike starting in mid April and stretching about a week into May was due to a bunch of media reports around Earth Day followed by the Pep Boys partnership at the beginning of May. The media exposure included the infamous cow’s flatulence Earth Day related press release which actually managed to grab a lot of media attention. In this time period Paul Elio did interviews on both the Fox Business channel and the Fox News morning show.

The other big spike in June was because of two big pieces of media exposure. The first one was a video/article on Yahoo Finance and the second one was when Paul Elio was interviewed on the Fox Business channel. These led to a lot of articles being written about Elio Motors.

The latest spike has been huge thanks not only to the 50% bonus promotion coming to an end but also to the Associated Press article which just caught on fire and spread to hundreds of media outlets leading to many more media contacts for Elio Motors and another invitation for Paul Elio to appear on Fox News.

As the graph demonstrates more than anything else mass media exposure makes a huge difference when it comes to making new people aware of Elio Motors and getting them to make a reservation.
