No question that $5 gas sells 80MPG better than $2 gas, but gas prices have been more or less flat for the last 6 months. The downward trend overlaps with Elio's unpleasant financial news.
I believe short term rate decline is almost entirely related to advertising which reached it's peak about six months ago. Combine that with the disinformation campaign taking filings out of context at best and deliberate lies more likely along with lack of show attendance and I'm amazed it hasn't sunk lower.

Find me a tabular source ofdata, either by week or month, and I'll work it up. Should only take a minute or two.

Here it is in chart form, if you're interested. A quick search didn't turn anything up, and I don't have time right now for a deeper search.

The latest I hear is that gas prices will be going up because of "maintenance" at the oil suppliers.
gas in my area area went up 10 cents a gallon the other day.

Would you believe...ALMOST?
Elio gave out a number of 65k, they actually needed less to get the attention of investors and banks which was reached in the low 60's. When they had their goal of 25 mil, got 17 mil, they actually only needed 12.5 mil. Potential clients pledged about 50 mil plus and Elio ended up with 17 mil. for their stock start up. There are other instances.that do not come to mind Elio has done in the past to over apply their goal, so they can reach their directive. The 65k may have an effect, but it has been slow going since the December holidays. Paul Elio stated it would only be weeks in December instead of months to reach 65k, and so far he has misjudged that. Call it bad press, people who do not want to wait for over a year to get their vehicle, or whatever. THE BANKS, THE INVESTORS, THE DOE LOAN, AND CARBON CREDITS ARE THE ISSUE.

Not the best chart. I had to interpret the data from that graph.

Blue is the reservation rate, red is gas prices...

Hard to make any kind of real comparison.

I'd be interested in seeing the gasoline price per gallon on that chart.
would you still buy an Elio if gas was $1.00 a gal.? My answer is yes, I would buy it if gas was $.50 a gal. It's not all about the gas, is it?
