So long as I've been watching, auto shows have never really had much of an effect on reservation rates. Personally, I don't expect anything to change the reservation rate much until one of two things happens: 1) They announce that funding has been received to start production, and 2) Elio's start rolling off the end of the line.

Agree, but won't Elio's rolling off the line be stoking orders of post reservation Elios for second year?

Elio Motors has not stated what will change, nor the significance of the milestone number. The only thing we know is that the $7300 price is only guaranteed to the first 65k reservations. There is lots of speculation that the 65k number has something to do with the DoE ATVM loan process.

I wonder if we will be allowed to buy our Elio with only a "bill of origin". That way if we choose to sell it, it would sell as a new unit.

This thread covers reservations left...will Elio Motors care to give daily updates to stoke the fire...with the Detroit Auto Show better location over LA Show causing huge buzzfeed, the right thoughts to action would to lead to '65K by Inauguration Day'.
