Guys,, The problem is not what time of day or how many days. It's the size of the sample. The smaller the sample the larger the variations will be. Have you ever watched one of those on board MPG computers? The Avg MPG numbers stay very constant, while the instant MPG numbers vary greatly. and as for say,, avg 57.2 per day,, most likely none of the days had 57.2
Go back to just using say ever seven or ten days and the avg numbers will even out.
