"Report button" becomes very subjective.
For myself, I love the ignore option, I'll put up with some crap- after a troll posts a thesis, I'll answer in 5 words or less, I get a giggle out of all their work that I blow-off, however when it gets personal, I then ignore 'em. Their great line is "I'm not here to be negative" followed by...........B.S.

In as much as Ultra Efficient Vehicles (UEV) can receive loans under the DoE ATVM program, here is the exact definition of a UEV.

"ULTRA EFFICIENT VEHICLE (UEV)

Under the ATVM loan program, means a fully closed compartment vehicle designed to carry at least two (2) adult passengers that achieves: (1) at least 75 miles per gallon while operating on gasoline or diesel fuel; (2) at least 75 miles per gallon equivalent while operating as a hybrid electric-gasoline or electric-diesel vehicle; or (3) at least 75 miles per gallon equivalent while operating as a fully electric vehicle."

My comments about financing-
I think the biggest hurdle for private investors is the profit margin. I know "Volume" is key for long term success, the investor would need to plan on return of their investment- down the road (no pun intended), AND hope the project "clicks". 40k reservations ( forget not the $ distribution (how many want-ins that could get a refund) multiple buyers, and the "expense of the incentives" soon makes the reservations not too exciting.
The loan Guarantee assures PE control, and the ability to move forward...........maybe tomorrow, there's always tomorrow!

EM should be willing to give up some proportional control to a big investor to get the Elioshow on the road again to production or there may be no Elio.

I don't get it. Both Mr Schembri's Bio AND Elio's announcement say that he's been on board since February 2015.

It's a bit disingenuous to pretend that you were unaware that Schembri was a board member long before February 2015. It's even more disingenuous for Elio Motors to pretend that they didn't know.

Wow! Due to it's timing and placement, that seems like a rather poorly veiled message if I've ever seen one.
Let's be clear that I'm not saying that it's ever happened here but...
You know you're in trouble when any establishment considers censorship based on whether or not a position "supports the cause".
In other words, censorship based on who's, and which kind of, drivel it is that's being reported and reviewed.
That's happening on the EM site and it's happening on the "EM complaints" site.
Do we really want to initiate it here?

no veil involved, the message is clear .... this forum respects its members and values their input .... it was established as and remains a community where supporters of and persons interested in Elio Motors can come to learn and exchange information .... that is not say all members will always agree but it is to say that disagreements should be resolved without becoming disagreeable .... there are other forums where persons who aren't fans of Elio Motors meet to exchange information .... persons are welcome here who come and participate with an attitude of building a community with a positive atmosphere .... comments from any of our members who feel that atmosphere is being compromised will be looked into .... any members who don't share the values and vision of this forum might be better served by finding a community which shares their values and vision .... hopefully, that clears up any misunderstanding

Since this is a private forum, the Constitutional protections in the U.S.A. do not really apply. I fully believe if freedom of association, and disassociation. If people are banned for not towing the company line, so be it. Forums are defined by what they accept, encourage and tolerate. I was encouraged when the mods deleted the posts with personal information attached, as well as the posts with profanity.
