Within spitting distance of 40,000. Is there any sort of Guinness world record here for reservations held for something not yet manufactured?

I'm sure that the delays do influence some folks .... the reality is, in spite of little positive, recent news and with some folks contently spewing negative assumptions, they have averaged over 50 reservations per day for the last two weeks .... at that rate they should go over 40K later this month .... bottom line, the company is alive and kicking

Probably the Chevy Volt, I think it was 45k, but would have to research that.

This is starting to feel like that day, last September I believe, where they stopped with the 50% bonus. A bunch of people were glued to their computers expecting something big to happen. Nothing did...
