forgot to account for the $500.00/ unit (before Sept/04) that will need to be accounted for? Math was not my strong suite, still can't figure 15% tip (but compensated by using 20%).



How about the following -
We know by the assigned # exactly how many $1500's there are. Haven't seen a break-down for the rest.
Just suppose we each "sponsor" a family member/friend to a $100.00 "gift" to place them on the list for the 100 refundable.
no risk for them, doesn't happen we lose $100.00-- does happen, they buy the car- refund the $100 to us. Don't buy the car get back the $100, sort of a reverse pyramid scheme

In many families that $100 would be an inexpensive gift. Just think, with Channukah, Christmas and Kwanza coming it is the perfect time for that kind of gift giving. I love the idea. Of course my 2 sons can afford that $100 a lot better than I can. LOL :-)

40k - 35373 = 4627
Number of days before Dec 31 = 78
Number of reservations needed per day to meet 40k total by Dec 31 = 4627 / 78 = 59+

Looking at the last 4 weeks, not gonna happen. BUT... with one week of 100+/day for some piece of news, we still might get there.

I was confused there for a second. Honest mistake... I figured out you meant number per day is 59+. That'll be a tough one to hit unless the numbers pop up. With Balloon Fiesta just ending, I'll bet the next set of numbers tops about 60 per day for the week... Maybe even as high as 80 per day for the week.

Oh... Forgot - the Engine being released finally may make an impact. Imagine video of the engine with it's exhaust sound running on a test stand. Or, dare I say it, in an actual P5?!!!

Any engine running news and the numbers would pop up. And I am sure that Elio will show that engine running as soon as they are able to. It is slightly worry-some that they haven't yet.

IF I were Elio, I wouldn't share any information about the engine till I was sure it was sure to meet both reliability and economic goals. Elio can't have the press saying that the Elio motor has failed... or doesn't deliver... Doubts about the engine could lead to discredit towards other aspects of the company. We don't want that! Having said that, Jerome told me that we'd hear some engine news soon.

Yep, you had mentioned about 2 weeks from when you talked to him at the Balloon Festival. I will expect minor news, hope for major news.
