H2Odog, your argument seems out of character. We're clearly confused why anywhere in the densest area of the US has not had a showing within hundreds of miles of any city in the Northeast, not just Boston.

As to why I'm not too bummed yet with lack of showings, I have an uninformed hunch that they are waiting for P5's, and will add one or two traveling marketing teams to hit the coasts... Building up to a marketing climax, if you will, around product rollout time.

Or, perhaps, with reservation growth of over 100/day, Elio is happy with Status quo. Perhaps Elio is saving the little money they have and hitting the more affordable areas of country now.

3.5 hour drive for me, so I'm hoping for something closer, but this is a good sign.

People in the south don't tend to do long distance commuting as much as the North East like Boston and New York.. They are overlooking a huge market!

I totally agree on missing a big market in the NE. I am sure that will be address by the company. But as a couple others have stated, The south is so spread out and it lacks the public transportation that most commuters use in the bigger cities like New York and Boston. Dallas just recently built a lightrail system, but it doesn't get used as much because the stops are so limited. I commute 35 miles each way and that's not even going from one side of Dallas to the other.

I think the Elio is valuable in every market. But I wonder if that fact that so many use the subway or other public transportation in the NE has limited the push to market there. It's an interesting thought.
