Already taken. I sent Steve a pm about a great .com name that's still available for $9 a year, but he hasn't responded yet.
This is still a good site to hear and express opinions regarding what we're all passionate about- cars- and not limited to just 3 wheels. The set-up still works for me so the name change is not a bother. I have one request though, the jokes stays! :becky:

Mark is the only one who knows the full scope of designing, building and eventually marketing

That's the one.

I’m curious about BEX’s pro or con take on armchair quarterbacks.

I have been in internet car forums since 1999, and some email news groups prior to that.

Forums have been a source of delight for me, watching people build or improve their cars, keen on discussing the technical side, learning and sharing many tricks that people find along the way, and I have made many wonderful friends over the years, many virtually, who still keep contact today, one emailed me the other day from 15 years ago, and also in real life with meetups.

I value input from others, intelligent, sound critique that makes me consider my personal position and direction/additions/reductions to my builds. I often sample ideas in forums to not only see if sound or not, but to have others to extend ideas I didn't realise.

Overall, I would rate my 22 years in internet forums as "a wonderful experience, and certainly educational", not just for car building, but for personal development as well.

... but then there's those who keep pretending that they know something about my background, my business, my financials, my resources, my timeline, my way forward, etc, etc, when they don't, period.

Therefore my context for posting this in the "New Site Direction" thread, is I hope the new forum software has a complete blocking function, rather than the one way as it is now, eg; if I ignore someone now, they can still see my posts.

(..can not see my posts.)
I like that one a lot.

Sometime ago, we had a lot of trolls in the forum. The best I could make of it was these people had an outsider agenda to drive failure.

Since the Russian activity came to light in American(I mean to say USA actually), online politics and business, I feel pretty strongly some bad actors were and still are trying to suppress anything positive happening, anywhere in the western world. They encourage the negative, and nay-say the positive. Anything that works.

Elio Motors has fallen off the radar for them, best I can tell. We only have honest objectors and deep thinkers left(, I hope).

In fact, bad actors, since there are about a billion, (well 1 in 10, or 1 in 100?, who knows which) there are that many methods of imposing negative energy. If you believe in Karma, as I now do, it simply boggles my imagination how much evil a person can earn, and what that might materialize into when it falls back on them. I'm glad it's not my duty to figure that one out.

At least one result that is immediate, they live deep in the middle of the world they have created. The world view you have, is the one you created for yourself. (It's true, it IS all in your head actually)
Think, what they might perceive, if anything weird is happening online.. Would they think they have been trolled themselves? Very good chance they would. Would that person have any faith to fall back on? Or has that eroded for them? Sometimes, yes it has.

I have my own boat too. Since I believe in it, I tend to estimate everything in Karma-Weight(best I can guess at anyway). I suffer my own effects just holding that world view.

For the rest of us, a bit of wisdom and logical thinking, is about all we need to not get emotionally tramped down by a lurking troll.

Well, that and a full blocking feature. I like it. Although, it could be used in a manipulative way as well.

This feature could give automated monitoring, when 75% of the users of a forum is blocking one account, maybe they should be fully blocked.

just as info that might be of interest, we average catching 1 or more spammer trying to gain entry into our forum .... once in a while one gets through and our members do an excellent job of reporting them ....we get them from all over the world .... pushing porn, meds, gambling, a bunch (over time) selling international mining equipment , credit cards, etc ....

I've purchased 3wheel.io and 3wheelio.com. I really like 3wheel.in but I think we'd run into problems with it being an India domain, and we also couldn't get 3wheelin.com with it. (I like to get the .com and forward it to the right address in case someone misunderstands the name. )

We're working on the upgrade to the new software now, hopefully it'll be done in the next 10 days. The new site will be 95% identical to this one in function and appearance. After that we'll move to the new domain and change up the forums to fit the new direction.

You might like to decide if it will be a 3 wheel forum encompassing all Trikes, or a Reverse Trike forum, that's more RT specific?
If you want to go there:
I have an electric trike in the basement that I can’t use. And I’m not good at selling things. It just doesn’t happen.
The question is do you want it or do you have an idea about a good place to donate it. Is brand new.
Story of the Electric Trike -- not quite as bad as Elio. Both dark of the night purchases.
Through a Kickstarter campaign in 2016 I bought a newly designed platform trike. It was designed and posted by two bicycle stars in Australia. Pictures below. By the time it was delivered in late 2018, I had had back surgery and couldn’t stand on the platform long enough to get anywhere or still walk when I did. And I discovered that it can’t be taken on the Metro in DC.
It was assembled, tested, and ridden a few blocks to the bike shop to be sure the front power drive was assembled correctly, otherwise, it is unused and has been stored inside.
Tester said it is very fast and he was sorry he didn’t have a helmet.
https://www.dc-tri.com

Details:

DC-Tri electric bike. Retail value $2100 plus new helmet ($65) and lock ($113). The DC-Tri is not otherwise available in the US.
It will pull the small trailer that seems standard on bikes.

Bike Helmet, Matte Lime UA Performance Headband Bundle.

Kryptonite New-U New York Fahgettaboudit Mini Heavy Duty Bicycle U Lock Bike Lock. (I’ve lived in Manhattan and trust any lock that works there.)

DC-Tri's powerful brushless front hub motor produces speeds of up to 15mph/25kph, high-quality disc brakes, smooth-riding shock forks, and a 36V, 13AH lithium-Ion battery are just a few of the high-quality components that set the trike apart from standard e-bikes.

• Up to 15mph/25km
• Five-mode controller LCD Screen
• Eco Friendly
• Zero Turning Radius
• Suspension
• USB Port
• Easy to Store
• Up to 30 miles/50klm on a single charge
• Recharges in 4 hours

Wheel sleeves for drifting available from the website.

Definitely focused on reverse trike.

I'm trying to think of some possible names, any suggestions? Here's a couple I'm considering:

3wheelowners.com
3wheel.io (A little nod to elio in there)
3wheel.world
threewheel.world
threewheel.io

Tri-Junkies
3 wheels for the Elven seals
