I'm a motorcyclist since 1967 and was hoping to start transitioning off of bikes with the Elio, guess I need another plan.
What about the Arcimoto SRK everyday electric? Rides like the Motocycle it is with handlebar steering, throttle, and upright riding position. Base model is open with a side panel enclosure option for bad weather rides.

And where can you take the test drive? BC? Or is that the one in Bend, OR?
You can call to schedule a tour and a SRK test ride at their Headquarters in Eugene, OR or check their schedule for the first 2017 ride and drive event. They have been touring a pair of SRK's cross country since the Gen 8 reveal in mid 2016.

The Canadian Solo is planned to start the North American Ride and Drives shortly after the USA Compliance Testing Certification currently underway.

Ok, I was convinced enough to sign up for a test drive. I might even prefer something like this over the Elio. Electric really seems like the future, and not as far off as I thought a year or 2 ago. Motor Trend car of the year a Chevy Bolt and Mercedes EQ having 5 vehicles by 2020 and 10 by 2025. Handwriting may be on the wall even though I would be sorry to see my dear ICE go, in the scheme of things it probably should.

The Elio is still a game changer as far as ICE goes. It hasn't gone anywhere as there is a need for both vehicles to satisfy the needs of both market demographics.
