Actually I would be passing through it on my road trip after factory pick up. Not heading straight home. Should have clarified.

This is only a non-issue for those of us that already have mc endorsements. For those who do not, or would rather not, and even Elio Motors for that matter, it is a major issue. I already have a mc endorsement, but I have to admit, it has already crossed my mind what a hassle it would be to have to buy a helmet just to drive though that little portion of the "Show Me" state just to get my Elio back home to Florida from the factory. The law should be universal so one does not have to check state law before crossing state lines. I really believe that if these issues are not addressed, there will be a lot of reservation holders who will back out. Not to mention the affect of future sales.

The M state you drive through to get to Florida from Shreveport is Mississippi. Unless you are taking a very long way just to "Show" the Show Me state you don't need to go near Missouri. :-) Z

I get it. I notice in a previous post where I said I didn't think I'd be around for my Elio to become a collectors item, I got like six or seven "likes". I was trying to figure out if they were because I thought the Elio won't be collectable, or if it was because I said I didn't think I'd still be around.

I thought it would be simple to exempt the MC endorsement for the Elio without a new vehicle classification. Now I understand why the need for the new Autocycle Classiifcation .........regulation and enforcement. It's ridiculous to assume you need to wear a helmet in an enclosed motorcycle with auto safety features........it's as ridiculous to assume you don't need to legally use those safety features because it is a motorcycle. Neither Auto or MC regulations really fit the Elio's platform....................... so AutoCycle it is.

AMEN to the dysfunctional .... it would sure simplify things if Joel Sheltrown would let folks from NC know who he recommends contacting .... or if it would be best to let him handle it behind the scenes

The who is irrelevant. NC gov't works like the federal gov't. If someone sponsors something, the other party is automatically opposed, not on merits, but just to oppose the other party.

I hope our lawmakers here in Wisconsin will read that document. Lately, they (either party) do not seem to be willing to do ANYTHING unless there is a lot of funding for their campaign attached to it. So if their was a check stapled to the inside cover, then maybe!
