they have had the P4 running around with a Geo engine for a long time not a year long project to update it to a P5, if they had the cash.

It was actually "announced" in the fine print of the SEC application. But you had to look for it. As I posted elsewhere, it's annoying for EM to announce clearly and publicly that "still Mid-2016, nothing's changed" when they knew damn well that they were going to slip the date again, because one week after this pronouncement, there's the SEC app. Grrr. Anybody who can even do basic math knew they could not possibly make the current production date with the current state of funding and having just gotten rolling on the E-series. Nobody likes admitting publicly that they have screwed up or aren't performing as planned, but EM then has egg all over their faces when they DO admit the obvious. Double grrrr.

When will it finally sink in for EM that they don't have to "embelish" to keep a moderate amount of new reservations coming in.
And that It's far better to leak "bad" news as soon as they are aware of it than suffer the damage caused by concealing and delaying it.

EM did announce available funding to begin the P5 Build, but with little news on the build progress and the discovery that EM owes IAV a $1.3 million balance due on the engine development is not encouraging.

So in a few months, the SEC should approve their application, then they'll be raising much more money. Having spent my professional life in IT, the idea of whooshing deadlines (you know, the sound they make as they go past) is not unknown to me.

agree ..... not to mention they are there to build 1 vehicle .... they don't need to create a supplier network, a marketing network, a governmental affairs network, setup sales centers, repair centers, and/or a factory capable of producing thousands of vehicles per year .... commentary from armchair quarterbacks aside, they aren't in business to build one vehicle
