I did notice the missing orange lenses on the headlights. Yay!

I was looking at the instrument panel pics over at motor1.com, and i started looking for the headlight switch. I couldn't find it. Then I remembered that it's technically a motorcycle, so they have to be always on! Saves a couple bucks on a headlight switch.

So... it has an ECO switch on the little panel forward of the shifter. Anyone have any idea what that button next to it that looks like a power switch would be? Below it is the 12V outlet, and what appear to be another button.

There you have it boys and girls -- those are not Elgin instruments. Now are they typical of production? God I hope so. Note that the plastic is noticeably darker than in the P5. I'd like it darker still, but at least this one doesn't throw a snowball in your eye like the last version. Much safer.

Do I take it from both the stock price not changing and from the lack of discussion, that there was no big announcement? Just the unveiling of this E series vehicle at the show? I really am hoping to hear of progress on something soon. Either E1-a development, mpg commitment, funding, information on E1-e and beyond.

I can say one thing about it ....... I Love it in Black!!

I think it looks terrific in black -- but I don't want to clean the damn thing every day, which is what black does to you.

There's a reason there aren't many black cars in the desert southwest. I'm already somewhat concerned that the small interior volume to window ratio will be problematic in the summer.

On the bright side, if I do go with black, I would be able to just leave a crock pot in the seat while I'm at work and have a hot meal ready for the drive home.

I noticed that, but did not know what to make of it. On reflection, I remember that a power versus Eco switch would be a standard feature of the car. I didn't put much faith in that at the time, but now I'm thinking how cheap it is to do, and how much fun it offers to the owner. Go Elio!
