The paint, dents, rust and broken glass isn't a dead give-away it's not new?
and then there's the car :D
Sorry, it was before dinner and hunger had me doing brain fartz like extreme DUH!!!
I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote that.

So now, I've had dinner, and my after dinner power nap, and I'm good to go

Yeah, that's it, I was ummm thinking and when I saw the 57 4 door my mind snapped and I went off to never never land.
And if you believe that, I've got some coastal waterfront property for sale in Nevada.

I seem to remember a few pictures of B.B. somewhere.
It looked like he's a long way from being 70.
That's why I liked your post Coss. :D

As for...

"And if you believe that, I've got some coastal waterfront property for sale in Nevada."

Another one of those 'forward looking statements' perhaps?

You left out the qualifier: And if you believe that,

as a first post from a new member, to say he has zero executive level experience based on limited data in a Linkedin report while ignoring information provided by EM (highlighted below) and Roush given a couple of post above tends to indicate a cherry picking of data to meet an agenda .... please review exerts from the opening post shown below and info given from Roush .... you clearly missed a considerable amount of info ....

First, the Executive VP from Roush (above) is obviously a different guy, so you can't use his experience to justify the hiring. That's too bad, because he appears way more qualified.

Second, the release from Elio didn't list titles and dates for Jeff's experience, and LinkedIn doesn't have much information. If this Jeff had great career experience, they would have highlighted it. They chose to hide the specifics of his experience, titles, etc., for a reason. If he was hired to lead commercial B2B sales, maybe. As VP of Engineering? No way.

I'm sorry to say that this quote makes pure sense.

However...

What available steller individual (that would be absolutely qualified+ in every field that this position requires) take this job?
Consider that a totally qualified individual could probably command 10x the starting $ (and stock options?) EM has to offer.
This person will most likely not have total freedom to run this part of the company as he sees best...

Consider that because of going with this startup that has an untested product that may or may not make it to production...
That individual's future income, job security and professional reputation will be on the line.

If you judge an individual's capacity to do the job well by those standards, consider the CEO as well.
Is Paul Elio the best qualified and experienced person in every field that he should be to run this project and company?
In my honest opinion... No. In fact, he may be the least qualified person on the board to head this whole thing.

But this is historically a company of mavericks. They seek advice and help when they need it.
I'm sure that EM hired the person that they felt would produce the best results out of the available choices.
We all should hope so.
