Got this from the Roush website. Sounds like the same guy, but the picture on their sites doesn't look the same as the one up the page...unless he's packed on some weight.

He holds a BSME from Michigan Technological University.
He's from the same School where my third son graduated from with honors in Engineering. He couldn't decide whether to specialize in Mechanical or Civil, so he didn't.

/waits for the people to say this is still a scam company

Here's his LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/jeff-johnston-1934971a

This guy was a "Commercial Manager" and "Director of Sales Irvin" at Tekata and shows no (zero) executive level experience. There is nothing to indicate that he was ready for a VP of Engineering role for a serious company. Nothing against the guy, but this screams "scam company" more than anything seen so far.

It appears he has known Paul Elio since at January 2010: pontiac.mi.us/document_center/gers021010spec.pdf

as a first post from a new member, to say he has zero executive level experience based on limited data in a Linkedin report while ignoring information provided by EM (highlighted below) and Roush given a couple of post above tends to indicate a cherry picking of data to meet an agenda .... please review exerts from the opening post shown below and info given from Roush .... you clearly missed a considerable amount of info ....

As an engineer, Jeff’s a veteran who’s made his life’s work mastering the game, so to speak. In his more than three decades in engineering, he’s worked for some of the best global automakers and suppliers in the business, applying his engineering skills and knowledge while playing a variety of positions – pun intended.

His industry experience and successes with other automakers and top suppliers in the areas of product development and engineering have been stellar and this has prepared him well to help make the Elio an affordable vehicle of enviable quality that’s fun to drive.”

During his career, Jeff has held leadership positions in the areas of Engineering,

Jeff has experience with all phases of the automotive product development cycle from Concept to Production, which he gained in a variety of technical, program-management, and vehicle-management positions.

He appears to be replacing Hari Iyer who is now on the board of directors. They have different titles but I suspect similar duties. It looks like Jeff Johnston is next to Paul Elio.
