NASCAR has created the problem via "Boys have at it" (with which I agree) and creation of the chase playoff system (which I tend to like) .... since then numbers of tickets sold has been on the rise and the bottom line is $$$$ .... what Kenseth did on a short track has been part of the sport since its early days .... commentators and so called experts have been predicting it since Logano pushed Kenseth out of the way on a high speed track .... so where's the surprise .... history has proven if NASCAR comes down too hard, seats in the stands will empty .... they are walking a tightrope and they most certainly know it

That was GREAT!!!!
Matt just drove burnt toast (Joey) up into the turn one wall.
First thing Matt says in the interview "I couldn't turn" with a partial smile
Matt, his crew chief and the owner have been ordered to report to the NASCAR trailer.
It's going to be expensive, but from Matt's perspective, well worth it. :thumb:
Love how the crowd cheered when he ran him into the wall. Poetic justice and well deserved. Now the little crybaby thinks Matt was unfair.

I have no doubt that NASCAR heard the crowd reaction .... they really do have to walk a tightrope .... historically, they announce penalties on Tuesday so we should hear something soon

I think part of that cheer is because Joey stunk up that last Chase section; the other part, yes I agree that they were glad that Matt finally pushed back on Joey. There were multiple times during the year that Joey seemed to have it in for Matt. Joey has also tried to prove he's a tough guy too <:heh:> by shoving people around; when in reality he's a big baby; why else would he have to have dad with him every time he tries to mix it up.

From the NASCAR mobile app, I can't link to it well at all, so I'll include a screeenshot. "All possible penalties are on the table for Kenseth" - Brian France.

Could also mean none...

Penalty announcements usually come down Tuesday afternoons, but sometimes go into Wednesday on sticky topics like this.

Jr's comment about the 20/22 controversy :

"There's a lot of things going on there and man, them guys hit that wall hard," Earnhardt Jr. said. "They all went in there hard. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I mean I've seen guys get wrecked but damn, he put that (expletive) in the fence. Anyhow, don't wreck Matt. Don’t piss Matt off because that's what you get."

taken from this link where a good bit more info is available

it would appear that Matt has delivered his message

NASCAR might want to consider the results of this poll on their website about handing Matt .... last time I looked the vote was running 70% in his favor
