did you see or hear of any folks putting money down on reservations ?

I saw one while I was there, but would bet there were others. Lots of people came through. I came back by about 2 hours later, and the line was even longer, then.

To be noted- I asked about the 2 " additional headroom, it will be accomplished by lowering the rear seat!!=-got that too from Jerome i.e. the exterior shape of the care remains unchanged!!

Should be interesting, since they also told me they were going to add more cushion to the back seat. Guess they are going to sit that thing right on the floor to allow for more cushion, plus 2 or 21/2 more inches.

...They didn't seem set-up to take deposits/upgrades, although a few folks who had gone in for less than the 1k, were going home to get in line to get a number i.e 1k all in...

I do need to point something out here. The road crew does actually have a pair of tablets they can use to take reservations however they will only offer this if you ask.

I mentioned this in another post however while speaking with Jerome in Birmingham he told us about his concept for hiring and training the road crew. He did not want sales people, as in his words 'the price and fuel economy numbers do all the selling', so what he has done is chosen friendly people and have them learn as much as possible about the vehicle so they can answer most of the questions people have. The road crew does not pressure anyone into making a reservation and will pretty much only say that pre-order reservations are available and mention how many total reservations EM has for the vehicle then only discuss things further if initiated by the visitor.
