Looks like the layout needs some love from Roush. Ergonomics matter.
I think this stuff was also pointed out earlier this year.

All the more reason to go AMT - no clutch pedal

Used to drive my early 60's VW barefoot in order to have my big toe on the brake and heel on the gas. While my toe Was weaker, it just didn't take much to knock off some speed in ol' Nicodemis. But I agree, the spacing is certainly not optimal.

IT HAS TO DO WITH THE PEDAL PLACEMENT .

THE PEDALS ARE SO FAR APART THAT YOU WOULD NEED CLOWN SHOES
TO TRY A HEEL & TOE DRIVING TECHNIQUE .
