Reason I said footrest; if you look at the picture, there's not a lot of travel room; no rubber on the pedal; and it looks like if you do depress it, it would hit the footrest in the floor (but that's probably just the angle of the picture).
The travel area was what didn't look right; looks like it only has 2" of space to travel.
And I know all to well about resting your foot on the clutch pedal; it's what brought up the need to learn how to change a clutch in a VW Bug.
I was just learning how to drive a stick, and burned out the clutch in 3 weeks.
Then again, there may be a clear polycarbonate lens over the cover if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me.
