Unfortunately, for us each time we have traveled up there we're driving a class A motorhome that averages 8mpg. OUCH! If only I could fit a family of four and a weeks worth of supplies in an Elio, haha. I worked in Medford a week last year and got the chance to drive 199 from Grants Pass to Crescent City. Awesome drive. On our vacations we started in Crescent City, CA and went north to Gold Beach, OR.

Next year enjoy your drives to the coast in your new Elio!

I'm grateful to aharonit for posting on this because I found your messages. I don't remember reading them when I first arrived at elioowners.com. I suspect I had no idea they were there. I'd say I have come a long way baby since that early March day. 8mpg. OUCH is right. Times have changed. When my 2 boys were young we had a VW Camper and a 2 man tent. Between the two, the camp stove, sleeping bags, etc., we had great times. Even though we camped in places that had pit toilets and cold water out of a pump. I never worked as hard as I did when camping but loved every minute of it. LOL :-) Z

Last time we went camping my wife and I were talking about how much work it is to relax. Our schedule was more intense than a normal workday. This year we are budgeting less for our trip, so I foresee a lot of sitting and doing nothing.

That should work. Maybe. If your lucky. LOL :-) Z

But you know, if you look, there are a lot of free things out there to do. :-)

We will do a lot of hiking, go to the beach. As of now we are only planning two day that will cost us. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Mystery Spot. The other seven or eight days will be laid back.
