Hi From Southern Oregon

Z here, I am looking forward to sharing information and ideas about my new car. I made my reservation last weekend but have not seen the car in person. I only learned about Elio in January and apparently it was in Portland, Oregon last September. I look forward to seeing, driving and thoroughly enjoying my Elio. Once I was introduced to the car (by my son) I fell in love. What can I say - it simply looks fun to drive It has been a very long time since I have had a fun car to drive. My Elio is Creamsicle orange. (did I spell that right? I can never remember). :-)

Welcome Zelio, don't worry about spelling, I can't even spell right with spell check and no one has complained. I would agree with you the Elio will be a blast to drive.

I love the Oregon Coast also and look forward to being able to get over there more than once every couple of years with the increased gas mileage of the Elio. Right now I take 1 trip per month to Medford (200+ miles RT), get to Eugene on average of at least once per month (130 mi RT) and to Roseburg 3-6 times per week (30+ mi RT). That 84mpg just keeps looking better and better. LOL

Unfortunately, for us each time we have traveled up there we're driving a class A motorhome that averages 8mpg. OUCH! If only I could fit a family of four and a weeks worth of supplies in an Elio, haha. I worked in Medford a week last year and got the chance to drive 199 from Grants Pass to Crescent City. Awesome drive. On our vacations we started in Crescent City, CA and went north to Gold Beach, OR.

Next year enjoy your drives to the coast in your new Elio!

Why thank you Jobeleca. I like to encourage people to post positive ideas. As you can tell, I am a very shy, retiring, woman who wouldn't dream of commenting on other's posts. NOT Well that might have been true when I was a teenager and was in fact very shy. LOL I think this group has let lose the wild woman in me. LOL :-) Z

Hi aharonit. As you may have guessed I am from Oregon. I am very happy to welcome another woman to this site. We have a great group here but we women are definitely in the minority. This group is very active so there are lots of ideas exchanged, discussed, sometimes argued. We get new information, misinformation, speculation and lots of laughs. We also have a wonderful support staff to help us if we need it. You will most likely get your number towards the middle of the month. The last number release was 3/16 and it was like Christmas around here. I hope you enjoy this journey to owning an Elio as much as I do. :-) Z

BTW Ralhpe was in Ontario, CA on Sunday and has posted some wonderful pictures in the Pictures and Videos Forum. He also has a beautiful story to tell. Enjoy!
