I am not concerned by ELIO looking a 3 ways to raise cash. Heck I would hope they are looking at many more and bet they are. Nearly all investors today want fast return and lower start up cost. Face it the only thing that counts is Earnings ratio. And with nothing to project that with ELIO is at the bottom of a steep hill.
I would love to see ELI0 ask everyone to donate 50 dollars and some how panhandle enough to built the ELIO. Then donate the amount raised to charity after ELIO is on it's own. Short of breaking the law I don't care how ELIO raised the money.
I would have no problem putting a couple thousand into ELIO with little hope of return on top of the all in $1000. We need to see ELIO make it to market.
If it fails after that so be it but we need the chance to find out.
You are a gamblin man. The only way I would invest another dollar is if the 31 engines and prototypes to put them in were built and being tested.

I read your link, and being concerned is not the same as being negative...besides there's plenty of reason to be concerned given what we've seen thus far...your "meds" comment was uncalled for...

What makes you think "It's not happening"?
Who gave you a guarantee that the second a program started you would see results?
Patience is a virtue. The new SEC rule won't let much happen on that front before June 1.
And that leaves 13 months.
So if you look at things realistically, that means 4 methods, and that's a reason for getting an additional capital firm involved.

As for the meds comment, your generation seems to use a lot more of them than mine.

So he has 3 potential sources for a loan, and it's still not happening? I was concerned before I knew this, but now that concern has been elevated 10 fold...
So... how long do you figure it takes the average person or company to raise $230 million? I'm glad Elio does not have all his eggs in one basket. It took Tesla about 6 years to raise the big bucks and that's counting Elon Musk's billions.

Ahhhh! I get it, all eggs in one basket- Easter? hummmm (have a good holiday)
They might have the eggs in one basket, but not one has hatched. The gestation period for an Elio is....?

This won't work if you're counting on having that $3048.78 come off the price of your Elio. They'll need that money, too, when the time comes. The money they need now would be more of a long term investment.

I didn't say it would come off of the price of the Elio.... It would be an amount we contribute on top of the cost of the Elio, and in return we'd either get the money paid back over time plus a certain amount, or we'd get ownership shares of the company.

Has Paul put all of his eggs in one basket as far as securing a loan goes? Instead of holding out hope for a gov loan, why not consider other sources as well for a loan? The gov isn't the only institution that gives business loans...

I recent interviews, etc Paul stated EM is seeking multiple
avenues for funding, so even if the ATVM falls through
(Though unlikely-IMHO) Elio will survive........

In 60 days the SEC will loosen the restriction
on investment in 'start-ups" & allow 'non-accredited'
investors to purchase stock, etc. This will have a
positive affect on Elio's short-term bottom line.
The ATVM Loan will be the icing on the cake......:)

Not really a gambling man. Been to Vegas many times never left a dime there. I am some what of a risk taker. I learned long ago that with out risk there is little gained. So yes I am willing to go first . The loss of a few thousand dollars would not change my life . It was not always like that. So I do understand if others can not that a risk.
I may be somewhat had on PE but I do support his dream. If it makes it the dream will be good for a lot of people and maybe have a major effect on the auto industry.
