This information needs to be forwarded to each of our state representatives with a personal phone call . Guys we can effect this outcome in our own states. Take the time and put in the effort to support the Elio movement.

Once we get the ball rolling in our direction with state legislatures most states will just follow suit.

I just made my reservation for an Elio this week. :) I finally made my decision after watching the evolution of the Elio vehicle and its company for well over a year...mainly because my state won't require that pesky motorcycle license to drive it anymore. (Cheers for the "autocycle" designation!)

By way of introduction, I am in my late 20's and never managed to purchase a car. This is owing to the fact that my parents told me that I could either get a car, or I could go to college and afford to buy an even nicer car. Well, I went to college, earned my degree, and graduated right into the recession...and watched my chosen field of work vanish like a puddle of water on a hot day. Needless to say, the nice new war I had planned on buying was - and is - well out of my price range now.

That said, if the $6,800 price and high mpg rating remain true (as well as safety ratings, of course), the Elio will be the very first car I have owned. So, now I am in line with the rest of you patiently awaiting my official reservation number (which I hear can take up to six weeks to arrive). :D
Everyone remembers their first Love, Mine was a 1969 Dodge Coronet RT, with 440 cubic inches /375 hp under the hood.. It got 9 miles to the gallon and about 100 screaming miles per set of tires.. Cost $3500 bucks.. Back then 1 dollar got you 3 gallons of gas and 10,000 dollars got you 3 real nice muscle cars or 4 ecno boxes..5 VW Bugs..
