If the history of Elio Motors has taught us any thing, it should be that their estimates of when production will start are meaningless...

Not anytime soon, not likely, etc." Responses are all associated with UNCERTAINTY so it does not make sense to even ASSOCIATE a DATE on any comments as it will just add to more frustration! JMHO.Seen this time and time again on here.
Someone mentions a later date that few others have heard. Other members here question the original person over and over. Try to justify how the original person is incorrect. They never question PE on his dates.
The original person ends up being correct. The other members ignore him/her. A year later, the same exact thing happens.
Time to look at the facts. EM is nowhere near getting ready for production. They don't have the funding and it looks like they won't get it any time soon. Might as well agree with the person who said 4Q 2018.
Good point.I'm right there with you....
Just can't see riding a bike to nowhere
Why not hook the bike to a generator, and have it power everything you're using?Good point.
As far as the bike to nowhere... While I ride...
I binge watch Netflix and cable on my 39" flat screen...
I also use a built-on work station with a blue tooth keyboard and mouse.
And I play my electric guitar mixed with YouTube videos through my wireless headphones.
There's no way I'd be able to sit there for three mind-numbing hours without being distracted.
Think about it. I'd be spending about the same amount of time doing all that anyway.
So I may as well be spinning instead of just sitting there growing fat cells.
It takes a couple of months, but eventually you lose most of your aches and pains.
I'm just now starting to mix in the elliptical, the stepper, and the treadmill.
I've also started lifting on my old-school circa mid-80's Marcy EM-1.
At this point, summer seems a little more likely to get here than the Elio does.
Here again, it's the quality of life thing. Given two more months on the machines...
I should be able to kick some serious arse when running and biking "for real" this year.
I even picked up a full size tanning canopy with brand new bulbs for $75 a couple of years ago.
It takes care of my vitamin D (gave up dairy) and keeps me from going completely pale in the winter.
Getting the right kind and volume of exercise is extremely hard to do when you've got a physically demanding job.
I did exercise before work, but there were simply stretches of time where I gave it all at work and had nothing left over.
I've thought about it.Why not hook the bike to a generator, and have it power everything you're using?
