I am with you guys. 74 years old and I don't buy green bananas anymore. Still confident it will happen. Here is one list I never want to see Elio Motors join.

It is a bit misleading, though. It appears that the vast majority of those companies listed went defunct prior to 1920.
Or perhaps just misrepresents itself as a list of "manufacturers". It appears that this list is not not just for manufacturers, but for brands, or marques. For example, the Edsel marque of Ford, the 1988-98 Eagle marque of Chrysler, and the recently canceled Scion marque of Toyota. Scion wasn't really an independent manufacturer of automobiles. It was a Toyota brand, and some of the Scio models will live on as Toyota models.

The uncomfortable question must be asked: How many forum members/reservation holders will pass on before they get their Elio?
It looks like they pushed out the Start Production date to Q4 of 2018. And we can be reasonably certain that date will be pushed out again.

I know at least one on this board died waiting and one no longer wants theirs due to a medical condition that came about.
But I think this can be used positively as well. May encourage us to hit the gym, eat right, get plenty of sleep so we can be alive to enjoy your Elio. I have said in the past that perhaps Paul can make a side market with special Elio vitamins and Elio exercises designed for longevity. (We already have the Elio T-shirts, hats, etc)
Imagine someday the public looking at our old but super buffed bod saying, 'He must be a Elioer.' LOL

I've been taking supplements, running and biking off and on for a few years. I'm been doing three hours a day on the stationary bike an average of five days a week since Nov. 11th and I've just started lifting three days a week. I've also been taking Youngevity Tangy Tangerine 90, Beyond Osteo, whey protein and ground flax seed in my evening recovery shakes. That's in addition to my morning regime of supplements. A few years ago I was starting to have trouble with my knees. Not any more. My legs and knee cartilage have thickened and are hard as a rock. The progress is out of control. It's no guarantee, but exercise and diet are the only ways to add a few years and have a better quality of life during those years that we seniors have left to enjoy. Ask RU.
You can pick up exercise equipment in new condition for pennies on the dollar. Sometimes for free. I'm going to start mixing my elliptical, stepper and treadmill in soon. Every day you let pass by is a day you can never get back again. The question is not "Can you do it?". The question is "Will you do it?"
