All in for $1K on this forum is currently under 6000. I just upgraded to $500 and am now working at saving up to get the last upgrade. My number will be whatever my number will be and I can live with that as long as I get a number. LOL :) Z

Congratulations on the upgrade Z! I know you’ve been saving for months now.:D

Well I am only at the $100 all in level so far but I am saving to upgrade all the way up. I guess right now if they gave out everyone's number I am around # 24000. I would guess if I upgraded some time soon at the $1000 all in level I could knock that down to maybe #17000. Does that seem about right???
I am going to die until I have a set production number.

From what we can tell, about 1/4 of the reservations are all in $1000. That should give you a good estimation. Like Z said, around 6000, maybe a tad more

All it takes is courage and commitment. I had to make two upgrades to get to the $1K level. That time difference was nearly 2000 numbers.

Just a thought, reservations will increase dramatically at some point.
A couple interesting points seem to lean on each other. According to the Web, most Elio reservations at the 1k level are from people 49-60 years old. My guess that even at the $100 level this is true. A second point, the interest in cars in general from young people is at an all time low. This is attributed to the interest in electronic-social communications via facebook and texting being at a all time high for the young. And also to the fact that a high percentage live /must live close to mass transit and/or have no job to finance a car. The estimate is that interest in a car for practical reasons will increase in that demographic as they navigate new career and family needs. i.e that group has less money they are willing to risk, but just as great a need.
Anyway there is lots of speculation about the interest in the Elio from the wider population. I think it's clear there is no lack of potential sales in that group. My step son is a good example. He hasn't got $100 to spend at any level of risk. He has no time or energy to speculate about the Elio. But an Elio would be absolutely pivotal in his express desire to get a job. He doesn't care what it looks like, he knows he would have to get one. Their financing plan would be his best hope for a good start. Our recent economy has placed MANY people in that position. It's just that the young have distracted themselves from the issue with their iphones, etc. They save their $100 to keep the cell phone connected.

On July 11, I made my $100 "I'm all in deposit". I upgraded to the $500 level on the 18th. Yesterday, I upgraded to the $1000 level as a result of the email (marketing at its best right?). While I have an "order number" for all 3 orders (my initial plus 2 upgrades), I did not receive my "production number". I thought this would have been automated. Has anyone else upgraded to the $1000 level and received (or not received) your production number?

Hello Ed and welcome to the group. It is nice to have another Elioite on the fourm.

Only the $1,000 all-in receive a production number, at least for now. These numbers are issued in batches every 5 to 7 weeks. The next batch will be sent out the first week of September. However, your number will be issued according to the date and time you placed the $1,000 all-in. You would think that the numbers would be issued by the computer at the time you place the payment, but not so. I guess they want to make sure the credit card charge goes through and the amount does not get challenged by the customer.

Hi Ed, I purchased my ALL IN 1k on July 9 ,2014, from what I understand, it will take about 4 to 5 weeks from that date before I recv. my number and shirt. I am just enjoying reading all of the members post & I am sure I will get my number & shirt within a few more weeks! If anyone eles would like to verify my info, please do.

I'm all in but only at the $100 level. It's all I could afford at this moment but I hope to upgrade as I can. I'm under the impression that I won't get an actual reservation number at this level (only at the $1000 level), but since I'm "all in", does that mean I am guaranteed an Elio within the first year of production? I read somewhere that they were going to stop giving reservations once they reached their expected first year production number. Does that hold true for us $100 guys as well?

Sorry if I've got it all wrong, I wish there was a page that explained this well but I have yet to find it on the Elio motors site. I'm just rehashing what I've read on this forum and others. I'd love for someone to educate me.

I feel that being first on the list just means you get some of the first vehicles, maybe not the best ones. I would rather wait an be further down the line in case of any problem that may happen for the first ones that come off the line.
The first year sometimes are the worst ones and I don't have any PEP Boys near me if there are problems. I can wait and feel that I will be getting a better vehicle with no or less problems.
