So I was looking at the Gen 4 Acrimoto Pulse.
My only take on it is that they have my same problem, lots of drawings, but no real action.

They have another issue, funding an American production line. They don't have the money to do it here in the US. They have their other product, but this needs a higher production rate/lower retail price to make sense. i.e., the price at their low production rate is not likely to be very attractive.
Like the Solo, it will be too expensive for wide appeal.
The solo needs to be under $13K, or better, be at under $9k. The Pulse would need to be under $12K USD, IMHO. Their simpler product is not.
Wheelbase and foot print too small, CG too high. Still not all that good at 65mph+.

So, where do you put your groceries? What good is a car if it's setting home in the garage because it's not practical?

Certainly doesn't look like any storage behind the driver. Maybe a very small trunk up front? If they price it anything like their other models, it'll be $30k-ish.
Their "Roadster" model is going for $23,900 base. It's projected to get 100 miles city driving. 66 miles at 55mph on highway and 32 miles at 70 mph. It's obviously just an in-town vehicle. I can't see spending $24K for a 32 mile range. I wouldn't even publish that number if I were the manufacturer. A top of the line Can-Am Spyder RT can get around 230 miles per tank and costs $1.00 less than the Roadster.

The Pulse is pretty cool looking but it has to be a better value than their Roadster or they won't be selling many.

Hey – at least they're building and selling. Unfortunately, more than "E" could accomplish...

I have owned EVs since 2015, just clicked over 15,000kms in my latest that I bought in March, that's how many miles I do in them. Let me explain the REAL World mileage to you guys please.

Battery damage/degradation, Tesla guidelines:

1/ Unless you are going to use you vehicle immediately that you pull it off charge, you don't charge more than 80%. Leaving a battery standing with more than 80% will do damage.

2/ Do not allow the batteries to go under 10% charge, this will do damage.

So what we have here in the daily real World, is 70% battery of stated range (keeping the battery between 10% and 80%). So, 70 miles City and 46 miles Highway.

Add further to that, people driving real world speeds, and not driving like your Grand Mother, are reporting around 80 to 85% of claimed range, so on average days you are looking at 60 miles city and 40 miles Highway useable.

Of course you can increase those figures by 20% if you start driving from a full charge, but it's still advised that you do not go below 10%. So that's still 90% of any manufacturer's stated range even from full charge. Believe me from 6 years experience, that you will be looking for chargers, or hoping to get home soon when your gauge shows 15%.

This isn't a go at Acrimoto, these are figures that apply to most EVs regardless of size shape or brand, and I love my EVs, will never go back to gasoline except for my race cars. I drive hard, so the reality is actually worse for me. I get around 60 to 70% of reported range, just as I would get 60 to 70% of reported MPG for a gasoline car.

Speaking of Tesla, I don't know how I missed the Tesla 3 Wheeler from 2015, but it appears to be a Solo competitor, and also with Elio by implication.

I have the conjecture that companies do promissory conceptualizations to prove to adversarial investors, that should they invest in something like Elio, Tesla, or whom ever, will make their own and attempt to steel the show. So this stands them off, and Tesla doesn't then build this car that will compete with their more profitable models.
It basically forces a monopoly into higher priced models that gives more profits to these big auto makers.

There have been many-many concepts that have flown down that path.

I now consider that current auto-makers spend zero time wondering how to build something people truly need, and all their time figuring how to fost something onto the public that has the best profit margins possible. Bigger, more complex, faster. They only build a leaf, small car, or eccono box because someone else is.

I seem cynical abut the issue, but it does explain a few things.

Apparently, This Tesla autocycle did not appear anywhere since 2015. That's when Tesla likely estimated that Elio would never make it.

But, the smart car may be a good example of the progression of models. It took 5 years before the other makes put up a competitive model.
And just before that hit, smartcar changed the pricing structure for the Smart. They had planned for the change.

Speaking of heavy front ends.....
I kind of feel now like I've investigated all the generic versions of each type. Probably not true, just feels that way in this moment.
This last one seems to have been a new one. But now having tried to work out the spaces (image below), have I finally tried every category possible?

Never seen it before, but I swear just 2 hours ago I was at a car show, looking at a micro EV, and decided that's exactly how I would place it's battery pack on a reverse trike!

I like a really low CG, with tight frontal profile. So a split pack fascinates me..
Notice the 80-to-90 percentile man, 72in(183cm)? Wonder who that is based on, hmmm?
