Hola Folks, just an obscure rif on a Chinese interpretation of an Elio
forum discussion of the differences/merits of eating cat vs dog. One
of my Chinese friends was fond of saying: Jianchi jiu shi shengli!
(We will succeed if we persist to do one thing!) Made me think of our
current (Elio) situation.............not eating either one......

many years ago when I was in college in Western NC, some of us were alleged to know a bit about running a still ... once at a party I saw a fellow drinking some fresh shine and chasing it with some home brew that was a couple of days out to the crock .... I've never seen anyone go from sober to passed out so quickly ..

Never heard of that drink. Sounds like grape juice and shine. Or it could be what color you turn, and what you keep repeating into the toilet after drinking it.

Y'know, it is perfectly legal to make your own whiskey. I have friends who are brewers and distillers for their own pleasure. It easily becomes a passion and a real learning process. "Shine" made from the right stuff can be a pretty interesting way to find nirvana......

And, in a pinch, you could probably run the Elio engine that we are supposed to hear news about on Magic Friday on straight shine, so there would be a legitimate reason to have a gallon in the trunk ICOE.

Typically grape juice & "Everclear" Pure Grain....................a staple of college
fraternities in the 'Old' days. Calling "Ralph" comes to mind..................

With knock sensors, that's a possibility. At the very least, a good carb-cleaner.
